Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco
- Upon arrival at Cusco airport, Andes Explore Peru staff will greet you and comfortably transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
- You will have the rest of the day free to explore or relax and acclimate to the altitude, with the flexibility offered by Andes Explore Peru.
- Overnight at your hotel in Cusco, organized by Andes Explore Peru, to prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.
Day 2
Day 2: City Tour in Cusco
- In the morning or afternoon, as per your choice, we will begin the City Tour in Cusco, organized by Andes Explore Peru.
- The tour starts with Andes Explore Peru’ transport taking you to the center of Cusco.
- Our first stop will be Cusco Cathedral, located in the city’s main square, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour discovering its rich history.
- After the cathedral visit, we’ll walk to Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, where Inca and Spanish cultures merge in a space full of history and meaning.
- After exploring Qoricancha, we’ll head outside Cusco to visit the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Site, where our Andes Explore Peru guide will explain the importance of its imposing stone walls.
- We will then visit Qenqo, a mysterious ceremonial site, followed by Pucapucara and Tambomachay, where you’ll learn more about the history and culture of the Incas.
- After the tour, we’ll return to Cusco and take you back to your hotel for some rest after a day full of history and discoveries.
Day 3
Day 3: Sacred Valley Tour – Aguas Calientes
- Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, provided by Andes Explore Peru.
- Our Andes Explore Peru transport will pick you up from your hotel (if your hotel is outside Cusco’s center, we recommend arranging an additional transfer for convenience).
- During the tour, we’ll stop at the Taray viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and take memorable photos.
- Next, we’ll visit the archaeological site of Pisaq, guided by a Andes Explore Peru expert who will explain the site’s rich history.
- Afterward, we’ll stop at the Pisaq artisan market, where you’ll have the opportunity to buy unique souvenirs.
- We’ll then head to Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a restaurant selected by Andes Explore Peru (the restaurant name will be provided in the detailed itinerary).
- After lunch, we’ll continue to Ollantaytambo to explore its impressive archaeological site with our Andes Explore Peru guide.
- After the tour, we’ll go to Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, a journey of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
- Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, Andes Explore Peru staff will escort you to your hotel.
- At the hotel, you’ll have a briefing with your Andes Explore Peru guide to go over the details for the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.
- Overnight in Aguas Calientes, with accommodation organized by Andes Explore Peru.
Day 4
Day 4: Machu Picchu Full Day
- Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, organized by Andes Explore Peru.
- The Andes Explore Peru team will then transfer you to the Aguas Calientes bus station, where you’ll board the bus to Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
- Upon arrival, we’ll begin a 2-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu, where our expert Andes Explore Peru guide will explain the history and secrets of this world wonder.
- After exploring Machu Picchu, we’ll take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

- After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey to Soraypampa, the starting point for our hike to Humantay Lake.
- From Soraypampa, we’ll embark on a 1-hour hike, accompanied by our expert Andes Explore Peru guide, who will show you the beautiful landscapes and points of interest along the way.
- Upon reaching Humantay Lake, you’ll have time to take photos and listen to our guide’s explanation of the site’s significance.

- After lunch, we’ll board our transport back to Cusco.
